Guardian Dragons is a hidden object game set in an epic world. The story is about a land which was saved by the dragons from the demonic attackers.
Just like the story suggests, the game has a lot of mythical and fantasy influences. Over the course of the many chapters, you'll encounter many strange creatures. It can definitely appeal to people looking for an adventure that has more mythical features rather than mysterious ones. Most hidden object games focus a lot more on the mysterious aspect and less on just telling a good story. Guardian Dragons however, is sort of a nice combination of both.
The gameplay is simple. You start the game off by completing a tutorial, which is basically the first area. Hints will be shown when a new action appears. It took less than 5 minutes to complete the tutorial and learn about all the features the game has, so that's a plus. After that you have to search your surroundings for new objectives. You do have a big main objective, however the whole journey to it is not specified, so you have to discover it yourself. This a a very nice aspect, since other similar games will tell you exactly what to do, when to do it. After you've gotten new objectives you'll mostly have to find items to unlock more items and so on. The game also features a lot of mini games, which can be quite challenging at times. Stuff like matching keyholes to keys, or constructing a mechanism to power a crane, and of course many other puzzles.
The artwork and sound effects really create a mythical ambiance. The game has a darker chromatic and this adds to the epic effect. Overall Guardian Dragons is a good game, however sometimes the Hint button doesn't work properly, and won't show exactly where an object is. This can be challenging to players who are mostly interested in the storyline, however it doesn't ruin the general gameplay.
